The aim of this project is to be able to create a space that considers human occupancy and inhabitation as primary factors. In order to design a space suitable for our chosen client (musician) and taking human experience as a starting point it is important to understand and study the everyday rituals of said client and how he/she goes about their day using space. Thus having the ability to acknowledge the physicality and emotional experience of personal space. Breaking human occupancy down into organisiation, emotion, and function, as well as the sensory experiences of the client. I put together research and creative concepts which results in a final proposal for a hotel room design specifically made for pianists, and a jazz club lounge in the hotel reception.
